Christ Pantocrator,
the Ruler of All.
From the Greek Pantokrátōr — “Almighty.” An icon to consecrate your home: the gaze of Christ as Lord, Judge, and Sovereign of the Universe, where mercy meets divine authority.
Lord, Judge, and Ruler of the Universe.
“He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” — Colossians 1:17
Christ Pantocrator is the central image of Eastern Christian theology — Christ enthroned as King, holding the Gospel of Truth in one hand and raising the other in blessing. His direct, unflinching gaze meets the viewer and asks for nothing less than the whole soul: conversion, vigilance, and constant prayer.
Across centuries, from the apse of Sant'Apollinare to the dome of Daphni, this image has anchored sacred space. It is not decoration. It is presence — a sign of the indwelling of Christ as King and Saviour wherever it is placed.
- † The Gospel Held in the left hand — Christ as the Word, the Truth that judges and saves.
- ☧ The Blessing Hand Fingers shaped to form the letters IC XC — Jesus Christ — granting grace and sovereignty.
- Φ The Direct Gaze Eyes that do not look past you — an invitation to repentance, watchfulness, and unceasing prayer.
- Ω The Halo & Inscription Ο ΩΝ — “The One Who Is” — the divine name revealed at the burning bush.
An icon does not decorate.
It consecrates.
Hang it above a candle. Place it on a small shelf with the Scriptures. However modestly you begin, the corner becomes an oratory — a place to return to, day after day, until prayer is no longer an event but a posture.
Made to last generations.
Printed in Ukraine on solid MDF panel, finished with golden foil that catches candlelight the way leaf does on wooden boards — without the fragility. Built to hang on a wall or stand on a shelf, today and forty years from now.
- Substrate: medium-density fibreboard (MDF) — rigid, dimensionally stable, will not warp.
- True golden foil applied to the haloed regions — not printed metallic ink.
- Profile sanded and sealed; edges chamfered for hand-holding during prayer.
- Faithful to the canonical proportions and colour palette of the Byzantine tradition.

It is small in the hand and immense on the wall. The first morning I lit the candle, the gold caught the light and the day began differently. I cannot put it more plainly than that.
I bought it for my mother and ended up keeping it. Ordered a second the same week. The finish does not look cheap. It looks like a real icon, in the old sense of the word.
Our family prayer corner was a stack of books and a candle. This icon turned it into a place. The children stand in front of it now without being asked.
Solid. Heavier than I expected for the size. Packaging was protective and the colours are saturated without being garish. My priest noticed it on a video call.
A genuine work of devotion at a price that feels almost wrong for what arrives. I gave three as Christmas gifts. Every recipient wrote back the same week.
Questions, asked plainly.

One icon. One candle. One quiet corner. The beginning of a life of prayer is rarely more elaborate than this.
